July 4th Parade

Every year, Fairlington residents show up by the hundreds to celebrate Independence Day and participate in the annual July 4th Parade, sponsored by the FCA and Fairlington Villages. Dogs on leashes, kids on bikes—everyone participates in the fun! Special thanks to the Arlington County Police and Fire Departments who lead the parade.

At the after party, tasty treats are available for purchase to benefit The No Kid Hungry bake sale, sponsored by Share Our Strength. There are activities for kids, including temporary tattoos. The FCA sells its popular t-shirts while Fairlington Villages hands out food, ice cream, and other goodies. Typically the parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Fairlington Fire Station on S. Abingdon St.
